I'd try the rhoid balm. Because my babies were all nearly 10 pounds and I've been rocking the rhoids ever since. TMI, I apologize.

 Thanks everyone for entering! :)

*****************

I grow 'em big.

This is the truth.  My biggest baby was Seth.  At 9lbs 3oz, he really paved the way for the other kids.  I measured 46cm at 36 weeks.  Kind of big.

What do you think?  Big belly?  Yep.

I posted these pictures on a forum I was on and one woman commented that she loved my henna tattoo.  I laughed out loud.  Those marks?  Those are my stretch marks.  All from Seth.  The black and white makes them look good, right?  Well how about this...

Red stretched skin.  Those marks have never gone away and they turn red like that with each pregnancy.  They itch and they hurt.

Recently I discovered Motherlove Herbal's Pregnant Belly Salve.  Oh my gosh, this stuff is AMAZING!!!  I have 1 stretch mark that really itches and hurts.  It was bright red a few weeks ago and itching all the time.  I started putting this stuff on twice a day and it has faded and doesn't itch anymore! YAY!
Creating the purest products of the finest quality, Motherlove Herbal Company is dedicated to using certified organic ingredients for a holistic way to soothe, pamper and enrich the pregnant or breastfeeding body. Certified cruelty free and without the use of preservatives, artificial fragrances and petroleum-based additives (such as mineral oil) found in most body care products, Motherlove products instill confidence and peace of mind as you nurture yourself and the life within.

Used to soothe the discomforts of pregnancy and breastfeeding, and pamper the body, our products are also safe and gentle on baby's skin. Motherlove products have been proven so effective they have earned the trust and continued support of lactation consultants, midwives, healthcare practitioners and mothers everywhere.
I love that these products are 100% natural and almost all organic.  The Pregnant Belly Salves "Scar-healing shea butter is added to the same certified organic herbs and oil base as Motherlove's pregnant belly oil to create this creamy salve that keeps skin soft and elastic. This salve effectively prevents stretch marks and relieves the itch of stretching skin. Wonderful for regular moisturizing in the mornings, evenings or anytime! Motherlove’s pregnant belly salve has a zero rating (zero toxins) on EWG’s skin deep database."

They also have products for birth, breastfeeding and the baby.  I can't wait to try their Sitz Bath after this baby makes his grand entrance.  The Rhoid Balm is oh so soothing right now and the Green Salve works wonders on bug bites and even Libby's diaper rash!

Motherlove Herbal wants to gift one of you, my lucky readers, with any product from their website.  Whether you are pregnant, breastfeeding, getting ready to have a baby, or have a new baby, there is something there for you!

To enter, go on over to Motherlove's website and look around.  Tell me what product you would choose and why.

For extra entries you can
1. Follow Motherlove on Twitter
2. Like Motherlove on Facebook
3. Tweet about this contest!

You must leave a separate comment for each entry. You may also enter as many times as you like, but I want to know different products you would choose each time :)

This contest will run for 1 week and will end March 25 at 9 PM CDT.

*Motherlove sent me Pregnant Belly Salve, Green Salve, Sitz Bath and Rhoid Balm to try out.  When the pregnant belly salve samples ran out, I bought some of my own...that's how much I love it.  The words are all mine, you can't buy my opinion.

I have stretch marks like these still and now I use the salve years later. I think it helps a lot with itching in the winter.

Wow - those pictures don't even look like you! Even your eyes look different!
I carry that way, too, and will be forever cursed with a droopy tummy, even below the chub. *Sigh* I tell the one who made it the worst that he better be really, really worth it! So funny, he doesn't know what to say to that, except to tell me that he is going to be a priest, and that should count, right? I think I would love the belly salve, as I STILL have itchy stretch marks, and my last is almost 2!

Holy belly, Mama! :)

Can I cheat and say the huge gift box? I'm due in August and that kit has so much in it that would be helpful!

I remember those days and I still have the stretch marks. My oldest is 24yrs old and I still have all the marks. Yes they still itch all these years later. I look at it as having the marks for the love of my kids.

Ah, I want the green salve because playing in my backyard is like playing in a swamp for my girlies :)
I liked them on FB and I can't sign up for Twitter for some weird reason.... oh well. I get extra entries anyway, just cause I am cool :) Just kidding!

Ahhh! I have been looking for a "belly salve" that is natural! I'm getting big fast Kim! And my belly itches all the time and I must admit to being a little vain and wanting to prevent stretch marks as much as I can. I've been using a generic "Tummy Butter" and get complaints from my husband all the time that he doesn't like the smell and that it's not good for me, plus it doesn't really soothe the itching... I want to try ALL this stuff so bad but particularly the "Pregnant Belly Salve" and/or the "Pregnant Belly Oil"!!!

Hey,

I've been reading your blog now for a couple of weeks. I stumbled across it while researching about the company Hallmark and learned you had done some work with their public relatiions company, Fleishman-Hilliard recently.

Anyway, love your posts and since I am not a mother, but look to be expecting sometime in the next year (**fingers crossed**), and if I could choose one product I would choose the pregnant belly salve...many of my friends complain about the itching and stretch marks and it would be wonderful to use a natural product to help minimize this discomfort.

The nipple cream would also be helpful...I plan on overlooking the discomfort of breastfeeding, and enjoying the bonding time with baby.

I love this idea. I never used the Palmers brand- too toxic. Love that this gets a great EWG rating!

The Pregnant Belly Salve sounds heavenly since, at 37 weeks, my stretch marks are itching like crazy! I'm also eyeing the Sitz Bath Spray since it sounds like a great relief for those first weeks after birth.

I had what I thought was a nasty recurrent yeast infection in my breast, and I called my local WIC office to see if they had recommendations for me and they gave me some samples of Motherlove's "diaper rash and thrush" cream. Literally within hours my nipples felt better. (In consultation with my lactation consultant, I've concluded that it was not a yeast infection but rather chapped nipples...still, it was intensely painful to nurse and ML cleared it up literally within hours!)
I had never heard of ML before, but I am very much a fan now! Now that my samples are running out, I've been debating with myself about whether to order more of the same cream (since I don't have thrush) or just to go with the regular nipple cream. I think I've gotta go with the nipple cream though.

oh yes, and totally following on FB :)

Stretch marks are one of the most common problems of the mothers after giving birth. Creams composed of oil and organic herbs can be used to lessen the visibility of the marks and additionally,to soften the skin.
