Last week, J's Mom was in town to help her Mom after having surgery. The kids were so excited to have Grandma here though! Here's a picture of the 3 of them.
My Mom came to town this week. On Tuesday, i thought things were happening, so she came out a couple days early. No baby, but...she and I have had some fun! We went and got peaches on Thursday and spent the day yesterday bottling 4 bushels of peaches. I did this last year with my friend, Heidi, and we split the bottles. It is really nice to know I get to keep all 54 bottles! Yep, 54. I actually got 56 done, but 2 broke in the canner (don't ask).
We were SO exhausted when we were done. I actually laid down for a little bit and then we took the kids for pizza and playing at the Celebration Center. They did so good all day, playing so nicely, watching movies, and generally helping Mom and Meemaw so we could get the peaches done and ready for winter. These will be such a welcome treat when it feels like winter is never going to end!
Today I'm making bread, cleaning the bathroom, washing diapers, and working on the sweater for the baby while I watch Season 3 of Arrested Development. Good times eh?
